§ 708.790. Liability of public officer or employee; office, defined

    No public officer or employee is liable for failure to perform a duty imposed by this article unless sufficient information is
furnished by the abstract or certified copy of the judgment together with the affidavit to enable the officer or employee in the exercise of reasonable diligence to ascertain the identity of the judgment debtor therefrom and from the papers and records on file in the office in which the officer or employee works. The word “office” as used in this section does not include any branch or subordinate office located in a different city.
